Class Summary

            Today’s class was a very unique one. Before we met at 2:40, we attended a lecture given by Dr. Anderson titled “The Quality of Education in Plato.” This was a very insightful lecture that I am sure helped most people with the essay #2. After the lecture, everyone had time to reflect on what his or her thoughts were before entering class. Dr. Anderson also attended class but had to leave about thirty minutes into the discussion. 

            During class, we talked about our thoughts of the lecture, how we can apply these thoughts in society today, and how we can incorporate these thoughts in our essays. We briefly reviewed the requirements for the second essay and also were notified of the extension on the paper. After Dr. Anderson departed, we discussed Plato and the quote given in our syllabus. We talked about what we thought his view of woman was and what the thinking today is of men and women.
